I’m moving into a new apartment, been moving since Monday, but last night was the first night I actually SLEPT there and I have to say that I slept like a baby. With no other TVs, no lights, no cats scratching at my door, nothing to get in my way of the peaceful sleep I’ve been depraved of lately — and I think the new mattress helped. I’m upstairs, across a small privacy fence from a grocery store, so the light filters in through the windows a bit but that doesn’t really bother me I can always turn over. Since I’m still in the process of getting things where they need to go I’m without a lot, mainly cable and internet, but those will be had tomorrow. Knology is supposed to come hook everything up between 2-4 tomorrow and then I will be on internet > Comcast, I see that as a huge triumph in the life of a geek.
I do have a major problem right now though — I am without a computer desk. I’ve got a desktop, laptop, and printer to put somewhere and they are all sitting in various places around the apartment taking up precious space. My guitars and boxes of books are also stacked high against the walls and I know tomorrow knology will want to put that router somewhere and I have no place to put it! I’ve got to get a table or desk tonight. Also my TV is sitting on the floor of my living room so I’ve got to put that somewhere else too. I need more furniture!
Enough about me, though. The Iron Man trailer was released and it looks like it’s going to be a hit. I wish they showed more of the action and less of the intro though, with that little bit shown it makes you wonder what they are hiding.
